Bio:
Jairo received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Arizona State University in 2017. After that he took time to work as an Industrial Chemist focusing on chemical purity testing in aluminum anodization and wastewater cleaning in Phoenix, Arizona. He then moved on Sacramento, California to work as a Failure Analysis Engineer working with NAND memory. In July 2019, he transitioned to Irvine, California to work in the Bowman Lab as a PhD Student Researcher and to be the group’s foremost expert in cold brew coffee.

Research Project:
Jairo’s project involves the use of pulsed laser deposition to investigate the grain boundary ionic conductivity of electroceramics for metal ion battery applications.
